Situated on the banks of the River Ebro, but further west of the center, is the legendary Aljaferia palace. It's close to Portillo and not far from the Delicias train and bus station.
This structure is one of Zaragoza's biggest draws. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Muslim palace from the 10th century and is, in fact, the second most important Muslim structure in Spain after the Alhambra in Granada.
